Blue Mountain Centre of Meditation

This approach to meditation is founded on the premise that you become what you meditate upon.  The practice is called “passage meditation.”

It involves sitting quietly for a half hour in the morning, concentrating slowly on each word of a memorised spiritual passage.  The aim is not only to achieve the objectives above, but also to learn how to live a mindful, loving life, filled with an inner security that remains resilient in the face of the many pressures of our daily lives. 

Because it can be difficult to sustain enthusiasm for meditation every day, each Tuesday evening a small, ongoing group meets to discuss the teaching of Eknath Easwaran and to watch a video of one of his many talks.

Anyone who has been meditating using this method for one month is eligible to join the group.  Enquirers are encouraged to ring Linda Patterson, who will be happy to help you get started so that you may be welcomed into the group after a month of learning the practice.
